What is Outlook Social Connector?
Outlook Social Connector lets you see profiles and updates and add new connections without leaving Office. Click on a contact’s name to see email and attachments he or she has sent you, meetings you have attended together, and their activities in social networks. You can also send this contact a request to become your connection in popular social networks.
You can use the Outlook Social Connector by going to “Account Settings” within Outlook.
Connect your Facebook and LinkedIn accounts to Outlook by enabling them.
Now enter your Facebook and LinkedIn username and password.
Note: Facebook contacts or updates are not saved by Outlook. It only checks e-mail IDs on Facebook and shows the latest updates. However LinkedIn contacts are saved in your Outlook.
That’s it! You’re ready to go. Now that Office is connected to Facebook and LinkedIn, whenever you get an e-mail from one of your contacts or someone who is on Facebook or LinkedIn, Outlook will show their latest updates.
